Dear store owners!
Recently we have found a bug in Oscommerce MS 2.2 and its earlier versions which allows to buy any product with zero price. Bug is reproduced at live Oscommerce demo (http://demo.oscommerce.com/)

The bug is critical for those store owners who sell digital (downloadable) products, becuase customers will be able to download a product buy paying a zero amount of money. Store owners who sell non-digital products should also install the patch we provide, as this bug might affect their store security.

This small contribution will add a nice pop-out Google Suggest like box to your usual search box of your OsCommerce store.

Search is performed while customer types in the product using first letters
The customers typing will be ‘auto-completed’ with symbols of the first founded occurrence
The first found letter occurrences will be highlighted with bold
The dropdown pop-out is scrollable but only if search match exceeds the pop-out window
Key recognition is available, press up, down or ‘enter’ inside the suggest dropdown

01/19/2007 Google Checkout Sandbox URL Change

On January 17, Google Checkout team will change the sandbox URL to sandbox.google.com/checkout. The current URL, sandbox.google.com, will no longer work after this change takes place.

The integration and testing process itself will be unaffected.

An update to the osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2 version has been released that addresses security related issues and bug reports that exist in the released version.

It is recommended for osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2 store owners to apply the changes to their installations due to the security issues and bug reports that have been fixed. The changes involved are minimal, do not break compatibility with contributions, and further strengthens the security of the shop installation.

This update release focuses solely on security related issues and bug reports, and does not introduce any new features that have been made for the next development milestone release.
